AMERICAN RED CROSS OFFERING COMMUNITY CHANCE TO HELP FIRE VICTIMS!

Every  year  single  home  fires  randomly  strike   several  families  in  Morrow  County  that  have  no  insurance  or  need some sort of assistance  from  the local chapter of the  American Red  Cross.  Lives are changed forever.  Families lose homes, and worse.

As  many  people want to reach out at this time of  year  to help those less fortunate the Morrow County chapter of the American Red Cross is  asking the residents of  Morrow  County to consider helping one of the fire families that had no insurance.

Among other things, they are currently in need of is queen/full size mattress and springs or a complete bed and bedding for a queen/full  size bed.  Anything  you can  donate to  this fire
family, will be greatly appreciated.  If you want to lend a helping hand in this time of need to a  family, please  call the Red Cross office for more information at 419-946-2811.

The  Morrow County Chapter of the American Red Cross  is  an agency of the United Way of Morrow County.

Help Send Quality-of-Life Items to Our U.S. Troops   More

You can individually or Your as groups can donate quality-of life items for our men and women serving over seas.

NOTICE From Department of Defense: The DOD has advised heightening security & transportation restrictions, & has further cautioned against collecting a large amount of goods. The DOD has suspended its own "Any Service Member" & "Operation Dear Abby" services due to security and logistical concerns.

The Red Cross will work with groups to get items to our troops, it appears the pipeline is full at this time so we plan to hit the second wave in August or September.

The Morrow County Chapter of the Red Cross has set up special e-mail addresses for Morrow County residents of service members serving in the military over seas  morrowcounty@ohioredcross.org in which they can send message home to families here at home that do NOT have e-mail access at home.   Family members can stop by the Chapter Office during business hours to check for email messages.
