An elderly widow lives just outside Ann Arbor, Michigan. She worked for over 40 years to support her only son Bert and his lifelong dream of attending the University of Michigan. Bert worked and worked. When Bert finally graduated, he couldn't let his mother live alone, so he moved back home, found a job, and supported them both.
One very sad day, Bert comes home from work and finds his dear mother dead on the floor. He quickly runs to the telephone and dials 9-1-1. Through his tears, he explains to the dispatcher that his mother appears dead. The dispatcher reassures Bert that help is on the way. "Where do you live?" the dispatcher asks.
Bert replies, "At the end of Michigan Wolverine Road."
"Can you spell that for me?"
A long pause... "How 'bout I drag her to over to Oak Road, and you can pick her up there."
