Is Christ Your Adversary?

Numbers 22:22, 32
22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:

In the above two verses, we find a theophany, the pre-incarnate Christ appears as an adversary, an enemy of Balaam. In verse 22 and 32 the words "adversary" and "to withstand" are translated from the Hebrew word Satan (saw-tawn'); an opponent; especially (with the article prefixed) Satan, the arch-enemy of good: and in the KJV is translated as adversary, Satan, or to withstand.

That same word from the Hebrew is used for the person Satan, and Christ in the New Testament uses that word to describe the actions of Peter. The term "adversary" "to withstand" or "Satan" is used to describe the Christ as shown in Numbers 22:22, 32, plus is the name of Satan and describes the Devil, and is also used by Christ for the apostle Peter. Christ is your adversary if you follow the Devil.

Matthew 16:23
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

In the Bible there is a message of reconciliation, but many miss that. Those that miss the message of reconciliation continue on a course of destruction and in the end they will go to the Lake of Fire.

What have you done with Christ? Will you go to heaven if you die right now? Is Christ your redeemer, or your adversary? Do you savour the things of God

What Does Your Heart Say? God Is A God Of Order, And Not Confusion. You Can Know You Are Saved.

1 John 3:19-21
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Do You Savour The Things Of God? Has God Given You A New Heart?

Ezekiel 36:26
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

John 3:7
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Or do you continue to reject our only hope, our Lord Jesus Christ, and think to make your own way to heaven and salvation? What have you done with the blood of Christ?

Hebrews 10:28-29
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Hebrews 2:3
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Be certain, if you continue to reject Christ, He will give you more of what you desire, but in the end you will perish. Consider this passage of Scripture, and the serious warning there, and search your heart. What have you done with Christ? It is a deceiver that says Christ will not change your heart, that you are left to your own power as regards eternal matters.

Revelation 17:17
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:12-14) What have you done with Christ?

If you belong to Christ, you will love Him, and that will be evident. If you belong to Christ, Satan is your adversary, but greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 Cor 8:3
3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 John 4:4
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

In your KJV look these passages up and you will find in each of these verses, the word Satan, adversary or withstand, and in each instance it is translated from the Hebrew word, Satan, and that word is linked to Strong's number 7854. Here are the times the Hebrew word Satan is used in the OT: Num 22:22; Num 22:32; 1 Sam 29:4; 2 Sam 19:22; 1 Kings 5:4; 1 Kings 11:14; 1 Kings 11:23; 1 Kings 11:25; 1 Chron 21:1; Job 1:6; Job 1:7; Job 1:8; Job 1:9; Job 1:12; Job 1:12; Job 2:1; Job 2:2; Job 2:3; Job 2:4; Job 2:6; Job 2:7; Ps 109:6; Zech 3:1; Zech 3:2

Proverbs 30:5
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Luke 4:4
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
