For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Rom 10:17

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:1

But without faith it is impossible to please Him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Heb 11:6

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope:
for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not,
then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom 8:24-25
