By God's grace, still presenting the same old message from the same old Book...

The Tree Is Known By His Fruit

Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

A good tree brings forth good fruit. The fruit is not to be viewed of itself, but the tree with it. A false prophet may produce fruits pleasing to the eye of men. Go to the source. Test the doctrine. Many a fair looking fruit is poison when taken and eaten, for the source of the fruit is corrupt. Many judge the fruits without concern for the tree for they have forsaken sound doctrine. The merit mongers say a fair appearance is what matters, for they have forsaken the truth.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Corrupt doctrine brings forth corrupt fruits. What pleases the merit monger is not of the Father.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

False prophets are known by their fruits.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Search the Scriptures daily to see if the things said are so or not (Acts 17:11; 2Cor 2:9-10).  Some will not be bothered with such things for they have received the things of this present evil world. You can know the fruits by their tree.

Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

A message of comfort from the Scriptures,
that we through patience and comfort
of the scriptures might have hope.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God,
and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 66:16
