The Lord looks at men from the inside and can not be fooled by outward appearances. The Lord can create a clean heart in you. Marvel not that I say unto you ye must be born again. You must become a new creature in Christ, Don’t think you can work your way to salvation. The Bible says you are saved by grace, a gift of God, not of works. You have nothing to boast about if you are saved and serving God. Look at the criminal that was nailed to the cross next to Christ. He had nails through his feet and hands, what work could he do? He believed with his heart, from within. He confessed with his mouth, the Christ. How those there mocking Christ must have marveled at his confession. You can not be saved by just hearing the Gospel. Remember how Christ began to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not. Jesus said, For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother, and he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
