By God's grace, still presenting the same old message from the same old Book...

As Christ Says, What Is That To Thee? Follow Thou Me.

Is authority over the family vested in a few supposed intellectually elite? I think not. Is resourceful use of hubris the order of the day, to frustrate the mind of any that oppose the elitist? Yet the world has encroached so that their is little evidence of God’s intent for the individual, the family, state and church.

Ideally the people agree to be living under a system of law and order. This balance of law and popular opinion works only as long as the people maintain a right notion of law and order. God's law is never over ruled. Today, confusion is the order of society.

Abusing parens patriae and abusing in loco parentis brings conflicts. As schools act as surrogate parents without regard for the real parents, conflict does arise. Is the main of the curriculum social interaction and controversial issues? Where are the values of the parent taught and reinforced? Not in the schools. But this problem of usurped authority only masks a far greater problem, and that is that every man does that right in his own eyes and with that, they forget God, and His word.

Even so, supposedly under U.S. law and Supreme Court decisions parents are the primary educators of their children.

By fact, the Bible makes it clear parents are responsible for training their children (Prov 1:8-9; 6:20; 13:1; 22:6; Eph 6:1-2; Col 3:20; Exod 20:12; Luke 2:51).

Do schools teach facts that students might make responsible decisions, or do they just teach them to respond to stimulus? In many cases, those established in the world of education would argue that for the most part all is well with what they do, but defence of their position is made by hubris, counting that they are the people, and all knowledge is with them. No other can read and understand, for they alone are competent with such things, that they must approve the thoughts of others, so it is supposed.

Christians are not to simply follow the flow, but believers are to follow Christ, regardless of what some other man does, for as Christ says, what is that to thee? follow thou me. The word of God does not change. Those of the faith are to be showing ourselves a peculiar people.

KJV 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

A message of comfort from the Scriptures,
that we through patience and comfort
of the scriptures might have hope.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God,
and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 66:16
