Christ Died For Our Sins
Reaching forth...
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the Blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:28-29)
The Blood of Christ redeems us:
1 Peter 1:18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
The Blood of Christ blots out sin:
1 Peter 1:18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:Isaiah 43:25
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
The Blood of Christ admits us to the favor of God,
and
permits us to approach Him as His worshipers:
Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the Blood of Christ.
The Blood of Christ makes peace:
Colossians 1:20
And, having made peace through the Blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The Blood of Christ justifies:
Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his Blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.Romans 8:33
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
The Blood of Christ cleanses:
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The Blood of Christ gives us spiritual boldness:
Hebrews 10:19
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus,
That spirit of humility and meekness of a believer comes from seeing oneself as they are, that being a sinner saved by grace. John C. Ryle shares this with us, "Unless you really know the character of your own heart, you will never value the Gospel as you ought, you will never see how absolutely necessary it was that He should suffer death upon the cross, in order to deliver our souls from hell and bring us unto God."
Faith in the Biblical definition is,
Hebrews 11:1, 6
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek
him.
Man must be born again. Natural man cannot please God, and has no fear of God. It is God that works in you, that whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13; Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 2:4-5; 2 Peter 3:9-10).
Jesus came to save the lost sheep, and they shall be saved,
for they hear His voice
John 6:37-39
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I
will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him
that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath
given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
John 10:27-28
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall
any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 John 3:16
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and
we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
Christ died for our sins, and by His blood we are redeemed.
Acts 3:18
18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his
prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
