Christ Died For Our Sins
Reaching forth...
Redemption
The Scriptures define that Christ died for sinners. The Redeemer offered Himself as payment, and made that payment, to redeem us from our sins, His blood shed for the remission of our sins.
1 John 2:2
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
He paid the wages of our sins, those given Him by the Father, and our sins before separated us from God, but His own are made free from sin, granted repentance unto life.
Some will spend eternity in hell fire, and I do not say Christ died for them. His own believe in their heart and confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus. Christ died for the sheep, and they shall be granted repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. JESUS saves His people from their sins.
Matt 26:28
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.John 17:9
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
You that do not receive Christ by faith do so on your own, you judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life. (Acts 13:46) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 13:46b-48
46b ...but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
One need not understand all the deep things of the Word of God to receive Christ. But you must receive Christ. Don't refuse Him. As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die.
Heb 2:3
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;Ezek 33:11
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?Romans 10:13
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Titus 2:13-14
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Redemption from sin is accomplished. Let God be true, and every man a liar.
Heb 9:12
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into
the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Eternal redemption, life everlasting for believers, for they are saved from their sins, that is, from their vain conversation.
1 Peter 1:18-19
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Many see salvation as escaping hell, but not sin. Many are in the broad way, that has destruction at the end of the course. But see that Christ died for the sheep, and they make confession with the mouth having believed in their heart that God hath raised him from the dead, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 10:15
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Some go about as if they were the people of God while still bound to their sins. Be sure, salvation is from sin, Christ saves us from our sins. Let the one prove their own selves whether they be of faith. Would any be saved? There is no salvation apart from repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ is demanded. (Acts 20:21)
Acts 10:35
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
It’s God’s way or the broad way – One way to life, the other everlasting torments. Some wave their accomplishments, to be seen, to demand honor. Confession of church membership, election, evidence of works, all manner of things might be claimed. Yet what do the Scriptures say about salvation?
Rom 10:8-11
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is destruction. Though many give honors, it is God’s commendation that matters.
Matthew 7:13
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:2 Cor 10:17-18
17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
Their is a famine, the word ignored as far as it being applied to men’s lives. The sinners prayer, "God be merciful to me a sinner" has been replaced with a few words said as man is made comfortable, and shown self sufficient, comfortable with himself, and promised life everlasting because of words they have said. The Word of God is tossed about as merely academic. But what of the sins?
The proud deny the Lord rules over man, or touches them about sin. Many see the death of Christ as nothing, and instead imagine salvation is based on their decision, their allowing God to save them. Merit mongers. Yet it is written, No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44); and, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:37-40)
Has Christ died for Your sins?
1 John 2:2
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
The gospel is to be preached to every creature, and those before ordained of God to eternal life shall believe, and be saved, from their sins. What of your sins, for redemption is from sin?
2 Tim 2:19
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.Galatians 6:4
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.2 Corinthians 13:5
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?1 Cor 11:31
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Heb 4:10
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Have you faith, and have you in truth turned from sin? Have you been redeemed?
Ps 107:2
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;Words: Frances Jane (Fanny) Crosby
Music: William James KirkpatrickRedeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
His child and forever I am.Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed,
His child and forever I am.Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus,
No language my rapture can tell;
I know that the light of His presence
With me doth continually dwell.Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed,
His child and forever I am.I think of my blessèd Redeemer,
I think of Him all the day long:
I sing, for I cannot be silent;
His love is the theme of my song.Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed,
His child and forever I am.I know there is a crown that is waiting,
In yonder bright mansion for me,
And soon, with the spirits made perfect,
At home with the Lord I shall be.Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed,
His child and forever I am.Come and hear, all ye that fear God,
and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.
