Matt 11:27
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

John 1:18
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

John 6:45
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Salvation is ours through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth (2 Thess 2:13). The word of God is truth. The word Jesus received from the Father, and has given to us, is spirit, and life (John 6:63; 17:6-8).

John 6:63
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 17:6, 8, 17
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

God speaks things into existence. The Bible is the very written word of God. Of the Bible, it is written, Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth. The Bible is the word of truth. The words proceed out of the mouth of God (Matt 4:4). We have the pure words, the sure word of God, a standard.

Isa 55:11
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isa 59:19
19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

2 Peter 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Matt 4:4
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Rom 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Ps 119:93
93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

Lord Jesus tells of those that will believe through the word of the saved.

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

It is the received words, the preserved words, the words passed on to others, the words having the authority and blessing of God (John 17:8, 20). Those of God receive the words of God (John 17:8; 1 Thess 2:13). Jesus received of the Father words, and those words He gave to His own, and they receive those words. Those words are the words preserved, passed on to generation after generation. We have no oral tradition, but instead the written word of God. 

John 17:8, 20
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Ps 102:18
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

Ps 78:6
6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

Ps 145:4
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

John 17:14
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

James 1:18
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

None should wonder at Satan going about to destroy the word of God.

Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Then as new born babes, we desire the sincere milk of the word, and grow thereby (1 Pet 2:2). 

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. The enemy certainly has come in like a flood, as shown by the portals of depravity, the beds of apostasy across the land. It is written, The Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. We have that standard. We have the pure word of God, the sure word of God.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God,
and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 66:16
