"Realize that you were delivered from the futile ways ... not by ... silver or gold,

but with the Precious Blood of Christ."                                  -- 1 Peter 1:18-19

Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, the Sisters of the Precious Blood

is a Catholic religious congregation of 220 women

who are committed to work in ministries that change attitudes

and bring about change in unjust segments of our society.

As individuals in this religious order, we Sisters have many different faces that represent ...

A variety of backgrounds, from rural America to metropolitan areas.
A variety of age groups, from early 30s through retirement.
A variety of life stages, from student to woman in ministry to retiree.
And a variety of interests, from weaving to human rights causes.

But as members of this religious order, we Sisters have a common commitment ...

To serve the helpless and needy in innovative ways.
To develop our individual talents to the fullest.
To develop a sense of spirituality and community among us.
And to serve God in however we are directed.

"We Continue to Pray"

Precious Blood people take a stand to heal wounds

caused by violence on city streets

Where in the world does Sister _ _ _ _ _  live?

Do you ever wonder where Sisters make their homes and why? As you may have guessed, most of us no longer live in convents. But "home" is as varied as our individual ministry, the locality in which we live, and our personal lifestyle. You can find out more about some of our Sisters' home-life on the  Meet Us Page.

Also on the Meet Us Page, you'll find links to testimonials   from some of our Sisters, including one who has served a ministry in South America and has written her account in English and Spanish. These testimonials discuss the Sisters' call to religious life and their ministries.
