"Realize that you were delivered from the futile ways ... not by ... silver or gold,

but with the Precious Blood of Christ."                                  -- 1 Peter 1:18-19

Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, the Sisters of the Precious Blood

is a Catholic religious congregation of 200 women

committed to work in ministries that change attitudes

and bring about change in unjust segments of our society.

As individuals in this religious order, we Sisters have many different faces that represent ...

A variety of backgrounds, from rural America to metropolitan areas.
A variety of age groups, from early 30s through retirement.
A variety of life stages, from student to woman in ministry to retiree.
And a variety of interests, from weaving to human rights causes.

But as members of this religious order, we Sisters have a common commitment ...

To serve the helpless and needy in innovative ways.
To develop our individual talents to the fullest.
To develop a sense of spirituality and community among us.
And to serve God in however we are directed.

"We Continue to Pray"

caused by violence on city streets

Where in the world does Sister _ _ _ _ _  live?

Do you ever wonder where Sisters make their homes and why? As you may have guessed, most of us no longer live in convents. But "home" is as varied as our individual ministry, the locality in which we live, and our personal lifestyle.

You can find out more about some of our Sisters' home-life on the  Meet Us Page.

Also on the Meet Us Page, you'll find links to testimonials   from some of our Sisters, including one who has served a ministry in South America and has written her account in English and Spanish. These testimonials discuss the Sisters' call to religious life and their ministries.

Fall reflection days aim to enrich body, mind, spirit

Precious Blood Sisters host two Saturday reflection programs

Many of us are busy planning for the future, whether it’s a lunch date next week, our kids’ college five years from      now, or our own retirement. While planning’s a good thing, there’s the tendency to live in the future – or in the past         —and miss out on the “right now,” the “present” which is the gift God gives us every moment.
“Treasure the Gift” is the theme of two Fall days of reflection for women presented by the Sisters of the Precious Blood at Maria Stein OH. The program at Maria Stein Center/Shrine, offfered Saturday September 27th & (repeated) October 18th,  includes reflections on:

    • The Gift of Deeper Insight:  "What's Right with the World"
    • The Gift of Holiness
    • The Gift of Companionship
    • The Gift of Beauty to Behold
    • The Gift of the Body at Prayer

Eucharistic Liturgy will be at 11:30 followed by Lunch
The day begins at 9 and concludes at 3:30pm
Presenters are various Sisters associated with the Center.
Donation for the day is $15 per person.  Paid reservations are needed by Sept. 13 or Oct 4.  Include name, address, phone # & e-mail address for each woman.  Send check to:
