Ambivalenceby Jessica Lauren Broughton |
| Blood red apples fall from trees of greed /
thirsting for an answer that will never satisfy their hunger. / We
will never land far from its shadow / a dimension we wish to escape. / Only
empty hope resides in the clouds that rain, snow, and thunder, Crying out for a peace that will never arrive. |
|
On the PorchI'm waiting for your nonsense, Listening to the crickets, Searching for an answer You'll never give me out loud |
Sun SetOrange light spills over the land, A world which t he moon is destined to rule Once the sun succumbs to the night.
That tainted star will return tomorrow, But remains destined to set And only then will its pale complexion
Be fit to satisfy my darker dreams.
