The story is once again told to Mortimer, the sock monkey!

The Tragedy of Macbeth

"Macbeth doth murder sleep."

Mortimer, Macbeth is a murderer! He murdered the king, he murdered Banquo, and his wife died of evilness. This is the story: It starts when Macbeth is a nice, kind, loving person. He wouldn't even harm an ant, he was so kind.

He met three witches who were mean and had three devilish children. They told him that he would become king, and that Banquo's son would be king after him. Macbeth went home.

Macbeth and his wife did a lot of kissing, and they planned the death of the king, Duncan. They invited the king to the party, and that night Macbeth killed the king! And then he blamed it on the two knights beside the king, to keep him safe. Lady Macbeth put blood on their cheeks, to make it seem like they did it!

The king's sons took off, and then the people thought the king's sons did it! They left because they were afraid this would get blamed up on them. Macbeth is finally king.

There was another dinner party, and Banquo and his son were invited. On the way to the party, Macbeth sent some of his men to kill Banquo and his son. Banquo's son got away, but Banquo was killed. Macbeth did this because he wanted to be king. He didn't want Banquo's son to be king. (Remember that the witches told Macbeth that Banquo's son would be king.)

When Macbeth was on a trip, his wife died. He comes back, and he loses about everything he has. The king's sons, who escaped, came back with an army of men, and they are going to fight Macbeth's army. Macbeth gets slain in the fight, and Macbeth is no longer king.

Mortimer, the lesson to be learned is: Wait your turn to be king. You should be patient. In due time he would have, and none of this just would have happened. We decided that Macbeth started out good and ended up evil . . . all because of greed. He wanted power!
