The First Baptist Church is located in Sidney, Ohio, on St. Rt. 47 on the corner of North and Miami Avenue. The beautiful stained glass windows, which adorn the sanctuary, are a legacy from the 250-member congregation that rebuilt the church building after the disastrous fire of 1904. The picture on the home page of this web site was taken from the sanctuary.
The church is blessed with fine acoustics, a wonderful sound system, and an excellent choir. We enjoy a blend of contemporary Christian music, choruses, and hymns. Each week the children can enjoy a Children's Story along with Children's Church. We average approximately 115 people on a Sunday morning and have a blend of all ages.
We offer a variety of small groups for those who would like more fellowship, an interesting Sunday School program for all ages, and special program for men, women and youth. The church also has dynamic outreach ministries within the community. We believe in the power of prayer and like to encourage it in everyway that we can.
