I live in Van Wert, Ohio and have lived in Van Wert county most of my life. I am single, 41 years old, and have a BA in Psychology from Huntington College in Huntington, IN. I lived in Virginia for 5 years near Harrisonburg, VA. At various times in my life I have been a counselor, a security guard, a pizza delivery driver and unemployed. At present I am a forklift driver at the Central Distribution Facility of Eaton Aeroquip in Van Wert. My various hobbies and interests, besides computers, can be found on the other pages of my site.
I have been using computers since 1987. My first system was an 8086 IBM compatible. A few years ago I moved up to a 486SX25 with a 170 meg harddrive and 4 megs of RAM. I have since went through a few upgrades.
I first got online in 1988 on Compuserve Information Service. In 1989 I discovered GEnie, primarily the Science Fiction Round Table, and that has been my online home ever since. In that time the SFRT has expanded to include the SFRT1, SFRT2, SFRT3, SFRT4, and the Comics RT. There was also an SCA RT that spun off for a while. Genie finally died at the end of December, 1999, but a large part of the community has survived at Dueling Modems and SFF.Net. I have only signed on at Dueling Modems so far, but it is well worth the time and money.
Recently, I have been spending my online time on the Straight Dope Message Board. It is very busy and full of interesting people.
